Mawardi Lemonade

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup of Balkis Mawardi juice
1 cup of Balkis Lemon juice
3 cups club soda or water
1 mawardi (blood orange)
1 lemon
Ice cubes
A few fresh mint leaves


Using a medium saucepan, heat the water and sugar for nearly 5 minutes, while stirring until the sugar is well dissolved and until it becomes syrup like. Set it aside to cool slightly.

Fill a pitcher with ice and pour in the Balkis Mawardi and Lemon juices, syrup and club soda (or water).

Cut the lemon and mawardi (blood orange) into slices and place them in the pitcher. Stir the pitcher and pour into a glass with ice cubes. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and enjoy your Blood range Lemonade.

This recipe takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and makes 4 servings.
